DfE Approved Provider for National Professional Qualifications

The qualifications are part of the National framework which offers flexible development opportunities to support leaders at every stage of their career. The framework has four levels. There are six “Learning Areas“ common to all levels, underpinned by “Leadership Behaviours” which set out how leaders are expected to work. 

The Learning Areas are:

·        Strategy and Improvement

·        Increasing Capability

·        Leading with Impact

·        Teaching and Curriculum Excellence

·        Working in Partnership

·        Managing Resources and Risks

NPQML - The qualification path has four levels and NPQML sits at Level One. It’s designed to support participants in becoming highly effective middle leaders focussing on essential leadership knowledge, skills and behaviours. The qualification will can take between 12 and 18 months to complete.

Included in the cost of the programme will be:

·        High quality up to date online resources 

·        Three face to face days – these will focus on linking research and theory in education with practical leadership tasks

·        Online discussions and peer support

·        A 360 degree diagnostic (beginning of programme)

·        A 720 degree diagnostic (end of programme)

Participants will need to:

·        Lead an improvement project in their team, lasting at least 2 terms, aimed at improving pupil progress and attainment and the capability of their team (4,500 words)

·        Submit a written account of the project , demonstrating how they have met the criteria

·        Submit supporting documents/materials as evidence

In addition participants will complete a reflective journal and on-line tasks to reflect on everyday practice.

NPQSL - The qualification path has four levels and NPQSL sits at Level Two. It’s designed to support participants in becoming highly effective senior leaders focussing on essential leadership knowledge, skills and behaviours. The qualification will can take between 12 and 18 months to complete.

Included in the cost of the programme will be:

·        High quality up to date online resources 

·        Three face to face days – these will focus on linking research and theory in education with practical leadership tasks

·        Online discussions and peer support

·        A 360 degree diagnostic (beginning of programme)

·        A 720 degree diagnostic (end of programme)

Participants will need to:

·        Lead an improvement project across their school, lasting at least 2 terms, to reduce variation in pupil progress and attainment and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of teaching (5,000 words)

·        Submit a written account of the project, demonstrating how they have met the criteria. This should cover the design implementation and evaluation of the project

·        Submit supporting documents/materials as evidence

In addition participants will complete a reflective journal and on-line tasks to reflect on everyday practice.
