Pauline’s career in Education spans over twenty years. She has taught every age range in the primary phase in both state and independent sectors. As a class teacher and senior leader, she led maths, assessment and development, in a number of schools. As Head of an outstanding school Pauline was able to see first-hand the impact Mastery had within the learning environment and the advantages and challenges that come with change. Recently Pauline has focused on developing a deeper understanding of Mastery through practice, engaging with local maths hubs and ongoing research into the pedagogy. As part of the Government steer group for the SAT’s review, Pauline has seen first-hand how Mathematics teaching has evolved over time and the impact this has had on both the teachers and pupils learning journey. Pauline is an active member of the Association of Teachers of Mathematics (ATM), the Mathematical Association (MA) and the Chartered College of Teaching (CCT). She is an enthusiastic and committed practitioner who endeavours to ensure all training sessions are the best possible learning experience through a mixture of theory and practical application to further develop classroom pedagogy.
