Course Objectives:

  • To understand how symbolic understanding develops and how this impacts on the type of visual support needed by different learners
  • To understand different types of visual support which can be used in classrooms and how to implement these as a whole class, small group or individual learner approach
  • To practice making and using differing types of visuals support (particularly relevant to learners with moderate/severe learning difficulties, poor attention/compliance, developmental delay and/or ASD)
